AI Video Training Series (2024 - 2026)
In late 2024, we recorded a customized five-part video series to provide a solid foundation on AI - as well as recent developments - for the Library of Michigan's Niche Academy video training site:

- Library Writing Applications of AI
- Building an AI Training Program
In the fall of 2025, we'll release an updated series including tons of new material!
AI Capacity-Building Cohorts (2025)
We worked with the Library of Michigan to develop and implement an AI advanced literacy course to help Michigan library workers build confidence and skills in the effective use of AI tools, as well as to gain the ability to confidently explain these tools to patrons and colleagues.
The cohort experience includes multiple online workshops, optional office hour sessions, a dedicated mailing list for discussion, and use of our latest in-house AI training and experimentation platform.
The spring cohort concluded recently and the summer cohort kicks off in late May. Workshop courses include:
- Library Bot-Builder Workshop
- Introduction to HuggingFace
- AI-Driven Community Engagement
- AI in the Archives
In addition, each cohort concludes with a half-day virtual "hackathon" where participants can work on their own AI-related projects and show them off to their colleagues in our AI Showcase. I've been really impressed with what our students can produce in just a few short weeks!
